Part of the NPDES permitting process to expand wastewater treatment facilities and develop storm water management plan. The project included the Camp Creek, Little River, Big Creek, Johns Creek, and the Sandy Springs watersheds.
Services Provided: Led in the formation of a 40-member citizens’ advisory committee charged with providing the county with citizen input regarding water quality in Fulton County and solutions to problems revealed through the study. Coordinated public education/involvement efforts for the Fulton County Watershed Management Program. Developed content, format, and layout of project website, proposing dual functionality of the site as a tool for public information and a project document management system, increasing efficiency in the transfer of information among all firms working on the project. Created press releases, media kits, public service announcements, newsletters, and other educational materials for public education and project promotion. Coordinated public education efforts with advocacy organizations including the Sierra Club, Chattahoochee Riverkeeper, National Wildlife Federation, and Georgia Adopt-A-Stream.
